| Breaking News |  | Sunday, July 25th, 2010: Jenress Loses Borges, Will Miss Season
The season is ending on a bad note for António Borges, starting pitcher for the Jenress Skydrakar. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Borges was hurt against the Kensington Gold while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn bicep muscle and will be out for at least 7 months.
Borges has made 11 starts this season, posting 4 wins and 6 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .232 against him and he has 94 strikeouts in 110.1 innings with a 4.00 ERA. |
 | Monday, July 12th, 2010: JRL's Best Player, Méndez of Jenress
His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Guillermo Méndez was rewarded with the Jackie Robinson League Player of the Week honors.
The scrappy Jenress Skydrakar first baseman hit .480 while collecting 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 4 home runs and 12 RBIs.
For 2010 Méndez is hitting .338 with 22 home runs. His stats include 61 RBIs and 80 runs scored.

 | Wednesday, June 16th, 2010: Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
The Skydrakar Theodore Monk and the Reds Patrice Lajoie were suspended 5 games each by league officials today for their fight which set off a bench-clearing skirmish between the teams at Skydrakar Stadium.
Currently Monk has 21 home runs and a .252 batting average.
This season Lajoie has compiled a 2-8 mark with a 6.38 ERA.
