Friday, July 9th, 2010: 5-6 Game for Rodríguez
Next time the Voltiguers might think twice about pitching to Martín Rodríguez. Today at Bank of the Bluffs Ballpark the Cedar Bluffs center fielder really burned Marceau pitching, going 5-for-6 in the Bombers 20-6 triumph.

"When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."

M. Rodríguez singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off L. St-Pierre in the 7th.

In his season totals Rodríguez has 4 home runs and a .277 batting average.

M. Rodríguez singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off L. St-Pierre in the 7th.

Sunday, July 4th, 2010: Son 5-6 for Green Sox
The Green Sox whipped the Voltiguers 14-6 at Stadium at Harbour Park and Min-tae Son had a big hand in the win. The Green Sox first baseman came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Son and a tough day for Marceau.

"I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."

Plan or not, Son delivered today -- 5-6 is outstanding in any league.

M. Son singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a three-run double in the 7th, struck out in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.

This season Son is batting .270 with 45 RBIs, 44 runs scored and 7 home runs.
